Tapestry Room
Aristocratic representations
In 2002, paper tapestries dating back to the 19th century were discovered in the north wing, near the library of the Lamberg Castle, and have been lovingly restored. Tapestries from the Classicist period are very rarely seen in Europe today. Three walls of the room, formerly serving as a state room, show historic views of the town and of various buildings in the possession of the Lamberg counts, such as the Quenghof estate, hunting lodge and forester’s house. In addition to the tapestry room, the Biedermeier room and anteroom can also be booked for unique events. Catered events, however, can only be hosted in the anteroom.
